Cindy_Sears_RN_CDE, 4 years ago| FlagWelcome to the blog! As a diabetes educator, one of the first things I ask my clients is to tell me about how they were diagnosised with diabetes. It is my time to listen to how they felt, what they thought, and how they coped with their diagnosis. Do any of you recall how you felt at the time of diagnosis of your chronic condition? Were you surprised? Or did you "see it coming"? Who was the first person you told about your diagnosis? Did telling someone else make it seem more real? Were any of you were in absolute denial? Let me hear from you. I'd like to hear your stories.
