ent from my wife-to-be was a big contributo r to my desire and success. I also needed a couple of tries and a couple of approaches
. But for me the strongest help came from continuall y reminding myself that the "choice was mine." Each time I chose to light up or not, bring my hand to my mouth or not, etc., I would ask myself "who is in charge?" "Who is making me do what I clearly know is wrong, unhealthy, dumb, weak, expensive. .. ?" I would answer myself that it was just me and just me could choose differentl y. And it was amazing how great I felt when I took charge and establishe d a my self control. It worked for me - what worked for you?
